Dad: When it’s 'over' for you, it’s 'on' for me. Featured

It will take generations to decarbonise the world's economies. When it's over for us, the next generation will have to pick up the baton and carry on the work.

Notes: The full quote is from KC Golden,

"Whatever you do now to improve the situation is crap I don’t have to shovel later.  So quit crying in your beer and DO STUFF.

Get in the game Dadddyyy, ’cause when it’s “over” for you, it’s on for me."

Comment: This idea is aimed at people who accept that climate change is a problem but may not understand the urgent need for strong action.

The bite notes that there is no choice but to start the huge task of cleaning up the mess we're in. The earlier we start and the more we do now, the less burden will fall on future generations.

This resonates with messages in James Hansen's 'Storms of my Grandchildren'.
