Less 'Chicken Little,' more 'Little Engine that Could.' Featured

In climate communication, "We need to stop being Chicken Little and start being The Little Engine That Could." Less of 'the sky is falling' and more 'I think I can, I think I can.'

notes:   People don't want to hear about -- and will deny the existence of -- serious problems that lack solutions.

source:  paraphrase of Susan Hassol, quoted by Bill Becker in Climate Progress, 10-23-07, and also during one of her presentations on climate communication at the Fall 2011 AGU in San Francisco.

Thanks for posting this. I also heard Susan Hassol say this at AGU, but I had forgot about it. There are so many reports about the negative consequences of climate change. I love Susan's optimism that there is still time for all of us to make a difference on climate change.
